1. How accurate is the nutritional analysis from a photo?

Our technology uses sophisticated artificial intelligence and a vast food database to analyze your meal photos. While it provides a highly informed estimate of nutritional content (calories, macronutrients, etc.), it should be treated as such. Accuracy can be influenced by factors like lighting, food presentation, hidden ingredients, and the precision of your portion size estimation. For the best results, we recommend reviewing the identified items and manually adjusting quantities as needed.

2. What if the app identifies a food item incorrectly?

We've designed NutriMealSnap to give you full control. If the AI misidentifies an item or gets a quantity wrong, you can easily edit, correct, or replace it. Simply tap on the food item in your log to search our database for the correct entry or to manually input the nutritional information. This ensures your food diary remains a precise reflection of your intake.

3. Can NutriMealSnap replace a dietitian or doctor?

No. NutriMealSnap is a powerful informational and educational tool designed to help you become more aware of your dietary habits. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment plans. It is not a substitute for the personalized and professional guidance of a registered dietitian, physician, or other qualified healthcare provider. Always consult a professional for health concerns or before making significant changes to your diet.

4. How is my personal data and food diary information used?

We take a "privacy-by-design" approach to your data. To protect your identity, we intentionally do not ask for personal identifiers like your full name or exact date of birth. The data we do collect, such as your email for login and your food logs, is used for two primary purposes:

  • To provide the Service to you: Your food logs and photos are stored securely so you can track your progress.
  • To improve the Service for everyone: We may use anonymized and aggregated data (from which all personal identifiers have been removed) to train our AI models and improve the accuracy of our food recognition technology.

5. How do subscriptions and billing work?

Our premium subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you select. For your convenience, all subscriptions are set to automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle using the payment method on file. You can manage your subscription details directly from your account's "Billing" or "Settings" page.

6. How do I cancel my subscription?

You are in complete control of your subscription and can cancel it at any time. To cancel, please navigate to your Account Settings or Billing page and follow the cancellation instructions. Your access to premium features will continue until the end of your current paid billing period. Please note that as per our Terms of Service, we do not offer refunds or credits for partial subscription periods.

7. How does the Free Trial work?

We offer a 5-day, full-featured Free Trial to all new users. During this period, you get unrestricted access to all Premium features, allowing you to experience the full power of NutriMealSnap without any commitment.

After your 5-day trial concludes, a Premium subscription is required to continue using the platform's features, including logging new meals. Your past data will remain accessible for your review. 8. What happens to my data if I delete my account?

If you choose to permanently delete your NutriMealSnap account, all of your personal data will be erased from our active systems in accordance with our data retention policy. This action is permanent and irreversible. It includes the deletion of your account credentials, all historical food logs, and any photos you have uploaded. Please be certain before proceeding, as this data cannot be recovered.
